this weekend

on the agenda for this weekend:

+ make waffles – done! and they were delicious.

+ make 3 dozen christmas cards – gulp! 3 doZen! so far, I have three. not dozen. only three. of course, I chose the most persnickety ones to make – I’m cutting out isosceles triangles out of green patterned fabric (the christmas tree), cutting out little tree trunks from brown patterned fabric, gluing them in a christmas-tree shape to white cardstock, sewing (with my machine, not by hand) along the edges in a zig-zag, then cutting off the cardstock, leaving a 1/8″ white border around the tree, and centering and gluing the tree to a beautiful cranberry-red folded card. they’re very beautiful, but they are so time-consuming! maybe i’ll just send them to the people I really like. no, I’m kidding. (maybe.) once we get new batteries for the camera, I’ll upload a photo.

+ reserve our room at a b&b at the base of mt. snow in Vermont – it’s our christmas gift to each other; we’ll be gone the night of january 2nd through january 8th. We’re so excited! (reservations made!)

+ get our christmas tree! we’re going with coloured lights this year, for a change. I’m so excited!!
