world domination + london

John and I played Risk tonight for the first time in about two years. I’ve only played once or twice before, and he completely kicked my butt. I thought I would be okay, and at one point in the game, I held Australia, Europe, and North America. Two hours later, I was chilling with Hugh Jackman in Australia, until John whittled away my forces in Indonisia and invaded, ending the game.

I think we’re going to have to make Sunday game-night a tradition.

I’ve been thinking and dreaming of London even more than usual, lately. It’s been nearly four years (this week, actually) since I was there, and was only there for four days, but it made such an impression on me. I think of it nearly every day, and sometimes just close my eyes and sink into a memory. The smells, the sights, the sounds, the feeling of London. Tonight on the Travel Channel were a few episodes on London, and my eyes just welled up with tears at a few points, I just miss it so much. It’s as though I’m immensely homesick. I found a virtual tour of St. Paul’s Cathedral just now, and oh! the beauty.
